Year: | 2021 | Publisher: | Kuala Lumpur : Kulliyah of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia, 2021 | Abstract in English: | The research aims to identify the effect of using the interactive whiteboard on academic achievement and motivation towards learning among twelfth grade students of geography in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the semi-experimental approach, the study sample consisted of 60 students from the twelfth grade of school Omar bin Al-Khattab, the students were divided into two groups, an experimental group consisting of 30 students who were taught using the interactive whiteboard, and a control group consisting of 30 students who were taught using the regular method, the research tools consisted of an achievement test and a scale to measure the students ’motivation towards learning. The results of the pre-achievement test showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups, indicating the parity of the two groups. While the results of the post-achievement test showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group who were taught using the interactive whiteboard. The results of the motivation measure towards pre-learning also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups, which indicates parity between the two groups as well. Whereas the results of the motivation measure towards post-learning showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. The results also indicated the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation among students of the experimental group between the variables of academic achievement and motivation towards learning in the subject of geography. Therefore, the researcher recommends that those in the field of education should activate the use of the interactive whiteboard in the subject of geography, and conduct training courses and workshops to train and urge teachers to use the interactive whiteboard, and the researcher also recommends conducting more studies aimed at knowing the effect of the interactive whiteboard on academic achievement and motivation towards learning. For other educational materials and academic levels. | Call Number: | t LB 1043.5 H129A 2021 | Kullliyah: | Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws | Programme: | Doctor Philosophy of Education | URI: | http://studentrepo.iium.edu.my/handle/123456789/11281 |
