This study investigates the contributions of selected early Muslim scholars in the area of behavior therapy which is one of the major clinical approaches in contemporary clinical psychology. Although early Muslim physicians and thinkers made great achievements in this regard, they are neither acknowledged in the textbooks of Western psychology nor adequately appreciated and profitably exploited by today's Muslim psychotherapists.en_US
