Abstract in English: This research aims to acquaint the readers with Bokidiawe School of Senegal and to identify its classification in comparison to other educational institutions in the country. In addition, the study will cover the different developmental stages of the school and its contribution in teaching and spreading the Maliki Jurisprudence. The major problems that face the Bokidiawe School in teaching the Maliki Jurisprudence will also be covered in order to understand the content and nature of the subjects offered to the students. The study will also focus on the shortcomings in the school’s curriculum in terms of the substance and methods used in teaching. The study showed that the change of circumstances led to obvious drawbacks in teaching the Maliki Jurisprudence at the school, some other problem have been identified. These problems are mainly due to the fact that the school did not get enough funding in order to accommodate the traditional educational system with the modern era. The study used the inductive method in gathering information pertaining to jurisprudential matters, it also availed itself of the descriptive quantitative approach, together with the applied analytical approach. Content analysis was used; a refereed questionnaire was utilized. The results of the study show the need for basic review of the activities of the school. In addition, there is need to come with a plan to develop curriculum programmes of the school in terms of the content and methods, to shed lights on the school’s evolution in teaching the Maliki Jurisprudence during the period 1900 to 2015. This is necessary in order to deal effectively with the school’s shortcomings and the need to modernize its methodology of teaching at the school and in Senegal in general. The study concluded with a package of recommendations, foremost among which is the importance and centrality of methodology in teaching Fiqh. It is important here to emphasize the importance of positive aspects of the educational methods for teaching Fiqh, and to follow a style that will facilitate for students to acquire jurisprudential experience and knowledge; in addition, to pay attention to the textbooks and the distributions of students across different educational stages.
