This study aims at shedding light on the role of Arab women and their poetry in issues that affect the Muslim Ummah such as the Palestinian issue. It examines the writing of poetry of Arab women on events like the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 and the infamous murder of Muhammad al-Durrah who was killed by Israeli soldiers. The significance of female Arab poets is assessed by looking at the artistic, political, religious and creative nature at the poems on one of the most emotional issues that affect the Arab and Muslim world.en_US
