dc.description.abstractThis research strives to examine the rebate(Ibra’), its function in Islamic banking and finance generally and in Agro bank particularly. It also analyses administrative structure of the rebate, and how it deals with future sales. The research which adopted critical approach involved, descriptive analyses with interview conducted in Agro bank. This was done to examine the rebate, its contemporary application, and its effectiveness for the development in the field of economy with correct practice. This research clarified what are permissible in the administrative structure rule and regulation for the rebate and what are not. In addition, it discussed what is not allowed as fixed inters rate in some transactions or banks interest. Moreover, there are other permissible alternative such as parallel salaam speculation (Murabahah) certificates, partnership and leasing (Ijarah). All this define the capability of Islamic alternatives to organize and deal with permissible transaction. However, after comparison between the opinions of Jurists and examination of contemporary implementation for rebate was made, using extrapolating and following the rebate applications, it becomes clear as result that, it is not permissible to require rebate in the contract paper or before the sale as well as Murabahah with variable profit.en_US
