Critical infrastructure is vital as its incapacity or destruction have a debilitating impact on our country’s defense, economy and national security. These infrastructures require more detailed attention in their protective security management strategy and implementation. This conceptual paper explores the implementation of CCTV as part of the protective security management strategy in critical infrastructures. There are several studies on the positive impacts of using CCTV for crime prevention and reduction but they are not without its flaws. This conceptual paper aims to provide a framework to address the issue and challenges of CCTV design in critical infrastructure by incorporating risk management and area demarcation.en_US
