Abstract in English: The study pursues to clarify a historical and field study of the development of the halal food industry in Xi`an in the Republic of China and the manifestation and expression of halal awareness among Muslims. This study also demonstrates the concept of halal in Islamic law and examines historical things about halal food and its development in Xi`an; Halal food in Xi`an using the means of questionnaires. It analyzes the factors that affect the halal awareness among Muslims through the results of the questionnaires and then explains the current conditions of the halal food industry in Xi`an. That is to make easy and help provide halal food Chinese Muslim community in Xi`an.
