المكر والماكرون في الخطاب القرآني : دراسة موضوعية

Abstract

Al-Makr or 'deception' in its general sense means to harm people. This is an incomprehensive meaning that does not cover all attributes and meanings of al-makr. For this reason, the researcher attempts to study the concept of al-makr in a comprehensive and detailed manner through studying the Qur'anic ayat related to al-makr. The study has discovered that 'al-makr' has been applied to a few meanings such as fraud, scheme, cheat, trick, etc. The research has clarified the various types of al-makr and its methods. It also lists some stories of deceitful people, the attributes and personalities as detailed in the Qur'an through the research primarily focuses on studying the attributes and conditions of the deceitful people of the past who suffered Divine torment, punishment and annihilation yet, 'deception' still continuous till today. It is the wisdom of Allah s.w.t that He explains in the Qur'an how to get rid of the deceitful people and detailed the strategies to fight them. Fighting against them is not to be done by an individual alone; it needs collective effort at the international level. The study deals with the issue extensively and inductive analytical approach in referring to various sources and dictionary in explaining the concept of al-makr, with substantiated evidences from the Qur'an and Sunnah, and definitions of key concepts. The study also referred to the Books of Tafsir and the commentaries of Ahadith, past and present.
