Abstract in English: This research aims to unveil the attributes and implications of the Hanafi School of thought application through selected applications issues from 18 jurisprudential issues that are a bone of contention among the Muslims of Henan region in China. It also seeks to unveil the extent to which these applications are in concurrence with the principles and general rules of the Hanafi School of thought. The research problem of this study lies in the fact that most of the Muslim researchers in China, in the past and in the present time, focused on searching and studying the history, facts, and events of the Hanafi School of thought in China, in addition to a descriptive presentation of some of the controversial issues, where it was rare to observe those concerned with controversial and questionable issues among Muslims in China in light of the Hanafi School of thought. This research is limited to studying four jurisprudential issues, namely the issue of the Imam’s alignment with the congregation in the same row or his unalignment with them, the issue of handshaking after dawn prayer, Friday prayer, and the two Eid (Two Feasts) prayers, the issue of prostrating two prostrations after the Witr prayer, and the issue of reciting Surat Taha when washing the dead. This research consists of four chapters. The second chapter introduces the Hanafi School and an explanation of its most important principles, rules, Imams, works, and attributes. The third chapter presents the emergence of the Hanafi School in China and its development stages in the eras of the ruling families and the present age. Chapter four presents the applications of widely known jurisprudential issues (the eighteen issues) in the society of Chinese Muslims in Henan, its reality, and implications. Chapter five presents the extent to which jurisdictional applications of the issues in study sample concur with the principles and general rules of the Hanafi school. The researcher used the inductive method in addressing the content of the scientific material, and the analytical method in addressing the issues of the study sample in order to determine the validity of the old and new statements of the school. This research concluded with several results, including that the reprehensible disagreement in minor jurisdictional issues had a negative impact on the Muslims of China, and that the new school appears to be closer to Islamic jurisprudence and the Hanafi School than the old school. This research presented several recommendations, the most important of which are: the recommendation of scholars to work on spreading education, raising the level of awareness among Muslims and warn against disagreement to prevent the reprehensible effects of discord from division, severing the ties of kinship, and fighting as occurred in previous eras.
