Abstract in English: The present study discusses the protection of children from kidnapping and murder in accordance with Algerian legislation. It deals with the characteristics of these crimes and the factors that characterize them, as well as the nature of the protection provided for in Algerian and Egyptian legislations. The study also seeks to find solutions to the problem of legislative failure to protect children in Algeria from kidnapping and murder in certain areas, which has resulted in the persistence and spread of this practice owing to the shortcomings in the work of the various judicial bodies. This study also describes the legal and procedural aspects of the protection of children from kidnapping and murder, in accordance with Algerian law and Egyptian law. It deals with the legal protection of children from kidnapping and murder in accordance with domestic legislation, and the role of mechanisms and bodies in the Algerian state to reduce this crime. The legal and legislative protection of the State of Egypt to protect children from kidnapping and murder should be clarified as a model for examining the merits of this legal system, and for making use of it in the necessary amendments to Algerian law to reduce this type of crime, as well as for the international protection of children, to arrive at recommendations containing some appropriate remedies in light of the Egyptian model. The study utilizes the extrapolation, analytical, comparative and desk approaches. The research concludes that Algerian law contains a series of penal and procedural laws to protect children from kidnapping and murder in general from the perspective of protecting children's rights and the right to life in conformity with other laws. Furthermore, the study recommends amendments to the legal texts of the Algerian Child Protection Act to guarantee children the right to life. The study includes a proposal to ensure qualitative modernization and an amendment in certain laws and procedures to provide real protection for children from kidnapping and murder.
